Copper Spur Western Works was born from a simple belief — that the things you carry and use every day should be made by hand, with care, and built to outlast the person who made them.
Where It Started
It started in a small shop in the Colorado Rockies, with a piece of leather, a set of stamps, and a lot of patience. What began as a hobby turned into a calling — crafting western goods the old way, without shortcuts.
Every belt, wallet, knife handle, and wood sign that leaves this shop has been touched by hand at every step. No assembly lines. No overseas manufacturing. Just one craftsman, the right tools, and time.
We believe in making things that get better with age. Leather that develops a patina. Wood that shows its grain. Pieces that carry the marks of real use and tell a story.

We source full-grain leather and hardwoods from American suppliers whenever possible.

Process
The Craft
Leatherwork starts with selecting the right hide — full-grain, vegetable-tanned, with the weight and temper suited to the piece. From there it's cutting, tooling, stitching, and finishing by hand.
Woodwork follows the same philosophy. We choose pieces with character — grain patterns, natural edges, the marks that make each one unique — then carve, burn, and finish them to bring that character out.
